We would like to reassure our service users that whilst we have had to make changes to the way we deliver our service in line with the Government’s guidelines, we are still open and here to support people with sight and hearing loss.

Referrals for assessment

We are still taking referrals to the service as normal. We are aiming to carry out assessments remotely where possible; by telephone, video call or even email if necessary. We will, however take into account the individual access needs of each of our service users and decide on a case-by-case basis how best to offer support.

Home Visits

We are able to offer home visits in order to deliver essential support, which cannot be given in any other way.  We carry out a risk assessment before each visit and our staff team have been issued with appropriate PPE.

Hearing Aid Drop in Clinics

The drop in clinics remain closed for the time being.  If you are having difficulty with your hearing aids, please contact us in the normal way and we will do our best to help. We will continue our postal service for people who need replacement life tubes.

Resource Centre

We are offering a limited number of appointments at the Resource Centre for hearing aid retubing; please contact us if you would like an appointment and note that you will not be allowed entry to the building if you do not have a prearranged appointment.

Information and Advice

If you need advice about any issue to do with your hearing loss or sight loss, whether because of the current crisis or something else, please get in touch and we will do our best to support you.
